Requirements for suppliers and subcontractors

Efitherma has a Management System in place to monitor and control quality and environmental aspects in its operations.

As part of this system, Efitherma communicates to its suppliers and subcontractors the principles outlined in its Integrated Policy, as well as the applicable quality, safety, and environmental requirements for the products supplied and services provided.

The collaboration of our suppliers and subcontractors is essential to ensuring compliance with these principles throughout our supply chain. Therefore, their actions must be consistent with the standards established by Efitherma and comply, in each case, with the legislation and requirements applicable to their activity.

General requirements for subcontractors and suppliers

Suppliers and subcontractors must:

  • To know and comply with current European, national, regional and local legislation applicable to their activities, products and services, especially regarding quality, safety and the environment.
  • Comply with the technical, quality, safety and environmental requirements applicable to the products supplied or services provided.
  • To provide Efitherma with the information and/or documentation that may be required in relation to the products or services supplied and, in particular, that related to their technical, quality, safety and environmental characteristics.
  • Inform Efitherma of any relevant circumstances or incidents that may affect compliance with the requirements established for the contracted product or service.

Specific requirements depending on the activity or service

Where applicable due to the nature of the supply, activity or service contracted, suppliers and subcontractors must:

  • Supply only materials and products that meet applicable safety, quality and environmental requirements and standards.
  • Inform Efitherma of the possible environmental effects and risks derived from the activities or operations carried out in our facilities and, when appropriate, of the preventive and corrective measures adopted to minimize their environmental impact.
  • Ensure that the materials supplied meet the required safety conditions and that, taking into account their nature and whenever technically possible, they can be recycled, reused or recovered.
  • In the case of companies that carry out transport or waste management activities, provide Efitherma, when required, with a copy of the current authorizations, registrations or accreditations that are legally required for the development of their activity.
  • In the case of suppliers providing transport services, carry out the appropriate inspections and maintenance of the vehicles used, in accordance with applicable regulations.
  • Promote efficient and safe driving aimed at reducing, as far as possible, emissions and fuel consumption associated with transport.
  • Immediately report to Efitherma any accident or incident that occurred during the provision of the service that caused a spill of the transported cargo or that may generate relevant consequences for the environment.

Supplier evaluation and approval

As part of its purchasing process and in accordance with its Quality Management System, Efitherma monitors and evaluates its approved suppliers and subcontractors.

The contracted products and services may be inspected and evaluated by the appropriate person, taking into account compliance with established requirements and other applicable criteria, such as:

  • Quality of the products supplied or services provided.
  • Compliance with technical and contractual requirements.
  • Delivery and availability of the required documentation.
  • Compliance with agreed delivery deadlines.
  • Incidents and non-conformities detected.
  • Ability to respond and resolve potential incidents.

We would also like to inform you that, as a requirement of our ISO 9001:2015 procurement process, we continuously evaluate our approved suppliers. The products and services they provide are inspected by the area manager according to contractual requirements (quality, documentation, delivery times, issues, etc.). Performance in this evaluation will determine whether a supplier or subcontractor is approved or removed from our supplier and subcontractor program.
