Our economy is driven by various forms of transport. This is where air transport, which has normally been ruled out for large loads due to its high cost, is appearing more and more frequently, but it is increasingly being taken into account. Its main advantages are transit times, although, as we have already mentioned, its high cost and environmental pollution are its main handicaps.

It should be noted that this is not the only form of transport that affects the sustainability of the planet. On the road, the pollution produced by vehicles damages both the environment and human health.

Maritime transport is also a source of global pollution. It causes about 3% of the world’s greenhouse gases, as well as 13% of nitrogen oxide (NOx) and 12% of sulfur oxide (SOx) emissions.

Given this reality, it is crucial to promote and adopt measures that encourage sustainable transportation in all its forms. The alternatives exist and are viable. On land, bet on solutions such as electric trains or trucks with hybrid technology. In the air, airlines can choose to use biofuels or invest in more efficient and less polluting technologies. And at sea, it is essential to implement stricter regulations to reduce ship emissions and promote the use of clean energy, such as wind and solar energy.
